Terms of Service

1. The service

Bill9 is web-based billing, GST and stock software for shops. It runs in your web browser. Features depend on the plan you choose, as listed on our pricing section.

2. Your account

• You must give correct details when you sign up, including your shop and GST details.
• You are responsible for the logins you create for your staff and for keeping passwords private.
• You are responsible for the bills you issue, the tax rates you set and the GST returns you file. Bill9 calculates GST from the rates and details you enter; please check them with your accountant.

3. Free trial, plans and payment

• Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial.
• After the trial, you pay for a monthly, quarterly or yearly plan. All prices exclude GST, which is added to your invoice.
• To move to a different plan, contact our team and we will change it for you.
• Refunds: [State your refund policy, or that payments are non-refundable].
• If a payment is not made, we may pause your account after [number] days’ notice. Your data is kept for [number] days after that.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Bill9 for anything illegal, including issuing false bills or evading tax.
• Try to break, overload or get around the security of the service.
• Copy, resell or share access to Bill9 except as your plan allows.

5. Your data

You own the data you enter into Bill9. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can download your reports in Excel or PDF while your account is active.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep Bill9 available and reliable, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted, for example during maintenance or problems with internet or hosting providers. We may improve or change features over time and will tell you about significant changes.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Bill9 is not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost business. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the [number] months before the claim.

8. Ending your account

You can stop using Bill9 at any time by contacting our team. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Before closing, please download any reports you need.

9. Governing law
